Our client entrusted us with the task of creating a stylish vanity that not only maximized the small space but also seamlessly integrated with the coastal theme found throughout their home.

Efficiently accommodating storage for two individuals within this compact space demanded a creative approach. Departing from the ‘standard’ size indicated on the architectural plan, we decided to extend the vanity’s benchtop from wall to wall, fully utilizing the available width. To optimize storage, we extended the cabinetry all the way to the floor, ensuring every inch was purposefully used. Meticulous attention was given to every detail, from preventing any interference between drawers and the towel rail to ensuring a harmonious flow of elements within the design.

To further enhance storage capabilities, we introduced additional mirrored wall units. Not only did this offer extra space, but it also introduced a reflective element, creating an illusion of expansiveness. These units also provided an area for task lighting. Opting for a horizontal grain pattern in the design contributed to the illusion of spaciousness.

To anchor the vanity in the room and serve as a focal point for the LED lighting, we incorporated thicker elements into the vanity’s base and pelmet. An open shelf was strategically placed to break the symmetry, adding an appealing visual storage option. Our seamless design choices, coupled with a carefully selected color palette, integrated handles, and warm timber tones, seamlessly extended the beachy ambiance from the rest of the house. These tones harmonized beautifully with brass accents, adding a touch of warmth to offset the cool grey tiles, transforming the space into more than just a functional area.
